What informs my work:

My work is a product of my ongoing learning through my studies and life experiences. At each juncture and turn, I have been fortunate to find the teachers I most needed.

Like many of my ancestors before me, I left Ireland during a time of economic recession to find work in the UK in the early 80's, following completion of my MSW in the US. After several years as a Social Work practitioner and lecturer, I developed health challenges and took some time out from social work. I became increasingly aware that I was not following my calling, although I initially ignored this awareness and returned to my work.  A few years later I was jolted yet again by my health and this time I paid heed  and embarked on studying  Psychological Astrology. As soon as I started my studies I knew that I had found my vocation and passion.

When my midlife astrological transits knocked on my door, I was offered the opportunity to live out my childhood dream of moving to the Hawaiian islands. With the support, love and help of many kind friends, I landed in Honolulu. I knew I had found my real home and a new phase of my life began. The stunning beauty of the landscape as well as the kindness, compassion and deep spiritual profoundness of the Hawaiian culture opened my heart and I took the leap of working full time as an astrology teacher and consultant both independently and on behalf of the Centre for Psychological Astrology in London with my colleague and friend John Green.

Three years later I left Hawai'i for a couple of years as my learning needed to take a different path. My studies and healing continued in LA where I spent a year, before spending time in Dublin to face the challenge of my elderly father losing his memory and approaching death.  My teacher for this lap of my journey was Betty Cosgrave, whose training assisted me to re-connect to my soul self, adding an additional spiritual layer to my depth psychological astrology work. I also trained with Betty as a wellness, career and life coach enabling me to walk alongside individuals, groups and companies over a period of time offering skills and tools to enable change to take place on all levels - mind, body, soul and heart.
